Christmas is the perfect season for Clark Griswold and his family. Clark's a disaster waiting to happen. You have to see it to believe it. There are 25,000 lights on the Griswold rooftop. An exploding turkey. And a house full of relatives.

A classic that makes the holidays with family bearable. Almost.

I can't stand Chevy Chase, but I will admit that there are some really funny moments in this movie that many consider a classic. It fits in with the other "Vacation" movies and has a memorable cast.

This 1989 farce/comedy film is about a family during the holidays, who’s hick extended family suddenly appears without warning and throws out their picture perfect plans. The movie is absolutely ridiculous and has many awkward moments that will make you cringe and laugh. The humor is definitely mature and absurd, and the characters without a doubt reflect the mood that the director was going for. Anybody who has ever had a messy Christmas can relate to this film and appreciate how it is an exaggerated telling of most people’s Christmas’s. I would rate this film 4/5 stars and recommend it to families everywhere. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a classic christmas film directed by John Hughes, I myself would rate it a 4 out of 5. The film puts you right into the Griswold Family Christmas and all the shenanigans they manage to get themselves into. I thought this movie featured a lot of comedic bits that has me laughing to this day when I think back to the last time I have seen it. The film is light-hearted and not meant to be taken very seriously, but it gives you a look at just how crazy it can get around the holidays. It definitely made me look at my family and realize that way may be crazy but we aren’t as crazy as the Griswolds. The movie has a very homey feel and I think portrays just about everything that can go wrong when celebrating christmas. The film does portray a great message that no matter what you have planned and no matter how much one thing works and another doesn’t around the holidays all of those things no matter what you celebrate. Do not really matter, what matters is the people around us who we love and cherish even if they aren’t family by blood, they are family by love. 4/5. @HonestE of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Excellent family movie to watch year after year! The Griswold's are definitely THE Christmas family to watch. If you haven't seen them, be sure to check out this DVD.

Funny Christmas movie written by the late, great John Hughes.

What a treat! See a harrowing tale of personal Christmas revenge when a man is denied a company holiday bonus! A man also drains an RV septic tank into a suburban storm drain. Enjoy with a stiff eggnog and unabashed Christian values.
This is a popcorn classic and deserves the bizzaro 5 star rating, enjoy!

I don't know what to say, except it's Christmas and we're all in misery.

Save the neck for me, Clark.

Worse?! How could things get any worse? Take a look around you, Ellen! We're at the threshold of hell!

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Clark: Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of a$$holes this side of the nuthouse.
