Russia uses American president as a sleeper agent

The remake of The Manchurian Candidate with black actors in the place of the original cast is ridiculously ineffective. Don't be politically correct Follywood.

Great acting. Yes, Washington and Streep are very good as usual, but Liev Schreiber is very convincing; he does look like he's not all there.

The technology may seem far-fetched, but I have no doubt our government must be working on this (no, I'm not a conspiracy-theory aficionado, just being realistic).

I found a sustained atmosphere of dread that maybe other people did not perceive. The story really involved me. Yes, I saw the original; liked that one as well.

Kinda boring.

Not too bad remake of a classic. The original is better, but this is pretty good.

I liked the original film and thought I would not like this version. It is not quite a remake. Instead the story is updated and expanded ... this is often a bad thing but it works well for this version. Streep is brilliant, as is Denzel Washington. The camera work is great and the story is tight (as tight as it can be for a man wrestling with the question of what is real). I liked trying to figure out the diferent layers and point-of-view shots. I did not have that experience in the first version. So, yeah, this version is different from the original but in a very good way. Both versions have their merits.

I thought this movie was good but not great. Something missing for me. This movie felt more of a high end twilight zone or outer limits show than an actual movie. Also, some parts of the movie where extremely unrealistic, like the part when John Voight dies, where are the secret service??? Not bad but could have been better.

The grandaddy of the paranoid political thriller film.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

The history has good potential, but at certain point I feel the film losted the momentum it was unfortunate

Noyle: [voiceover] Now, when you're rescued and returned with your patrol to command headquarters, what will be among the first of your duties that you'll undertake?

Ben Marco: I'll recommend Sergeant Shaw for the Medal of Honor, sir. He saved our lives. He terminated the enemy. Led us across the desert to safety.

Noyle: Excellent. And there were casualties?

Ben Marco: There's always casualties in war, sir.
