Hilarious sequel to “The Love Bug.” The talents of Ken Berry, Helen Hayes, Keenan Wynn, and Stefanie Powers make this one very entertaining. John McIntire also gets a small role.

It was fun to see this with my kids. Before the movie begins there is some fascinating footage of buildings being demolished without damaging the neighbouring buildings. Don't be mislead by the picture on the cover, Herbie does not have cartoon eyes, but he does have a personality, as do a couple of other supposedly inanimate objects.

The original film in this series -- "The Love Bug" -- holds the interest of the entire family, having something for all ages, young and old. The same can't be said of "Herbie Rides Again". This film is geared entirely to the pre-teen set, and mostly to those 8 years and under. It's too silly to hold the post-teen or adult interest. Very young kids might like it though.
