Sadly I never heard of Paddington until very recently so I never read this book as a child nor read it to my own children. Paddington is a delightful metaphor for everyone of us who is flabbergasted about the amazing new things we see every day; things we struggle to understand and to come to terms with. There may be bumps and stickiness along the way but it will work out OK in the end. Best read to a child sitting in your lap but good for your adult, inner child too.
